This contest aims to revitalize the microfabrication market by presenting Japan’s world-leading microfabrication technologies in an accessible way.
We welcome works that harness microfabrication technology to surprise the world—creative, playful pieces that transcend constraints such as cost, tolerances, and mass production.
*This contest is held as an evolution of the Expert Machining Artist award program, originally established by the precision machining equipment manufacturer Roku-Roku Smart Technology Co., Ltd., building upon and further developing its legacy.
【Purpose】
To create a platform where students and young engineers can challenge the limits of their manufacturing skills, and further strengthen their passion for manufacturing.

The Micro Manufacturing Association is a collective of companies with strengths in the material and component manufacturing field—covering the size range of 0.001 mm to 1 mm, often referred to as a “missing technological domain” within the broader manufacturing landscape.
These companies specialize in areas such as materials, machining, mold making, plastic forming, surface treatment, assembly, joining, 3D printing, and inspection, and are actively working together to pioneer new industrial fields.
